PROGRAM AND ENGINEERING MANAGER

  • Secondment to Lockheed Martin Australia to establish the Research and Development program for the combat system for the Attack Class submarines. 


HEAD, CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN AUTONOMOUS VESSELS

  • Establishment of the team and ecosystem (approximately 97 suppliers) to design and prototype the mission system for an Uninhabited Surface Vessel (USV) integrated with the Combat Management System. 
  • Establishment of the Systems Integration Laboratory and showcase of the prototype at IndoPacific. 
  • System architect of the solution. 
  • Media and government (including ADF) relations. 


DEPUTY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING MANAGER

  • Provision of Systems Engineering subject matter expertise to the Combat Direction system for the Amphibious Assault ships.
  • Management of 24x7 test event with Saab, public service and naval personnel.
  • Establishment of asset management approach and transition from acquisition to support.  
  • Studies and designs for training equipment and facilities. 

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

  • Management of a large complex project for the design and development of a Ground System for an Electronic Warfare Self Protection System for Chinook and Blackhawk Helicopters. Budget approx $35 million, people approx 40 (including Integrated Logistics Support team in final projects stages), 5 year duration, 5 products, ownership of the System Integration Laboratory. 
  • Review support to other company projects around Australia.

SENIOR LECTURER

  • PhD student supervision.
  • Teaching of Masters level students in Engineering Research Practices.
  • Delivery of Software Project Management training to Department of Defence personnel.

SENIOR STAFF ENGINEER

  • Systems engineer of telematics and telecommunications network management systems including work assignments in Chicago and Phoenix.
  • Development of product management practices and commercialisation of two Motorola technologies.

SENIOR RESEARCH ENGINEER

Modelling of wireless telecommunication network technologies, and interference between systems.

Development and delivery of training material in wireless telecommunications.

Contributions to a report for a working group for the Prime Minister's Science and Engineering Council on rural and remote communications.
